Starring Hong Kong’s media darling, Angelababy and uprising star Mark Chao, this touching tale centres on a young woman, who despite failing health, embraces a future full of love, hope and happiness. Taiwanese pop icon Jay Chou also contributes with a theme song penned for the movie.
Twenty-two year old college student Song Shiqiao (Angelababy) lives with her widowed mother, shop owner Zheng Qing (Jiang Shan). She dreams of being a ballet dancer and falling in love, but suffering from a terminal illness they are experiences she’ll probably never have. So when an old high school crush, Gong Ning (Mark Chao) enters her life, she’s swept away by his interest in her.
But what Song doesn’t know is that Zheng, wishing her daughter to experience romance before it’s too late, hired Gong to pursue her. In need of money, Gong agreed to the arrangement. After Gong encourages Song to realise her dream of being a dancer, Zheng confronts him and tries to call off the deal, afraid the physical demands will end her daughter’s life. Breaking off the relationship would have been easy, but now everything is different … because Gong has already fallen in love with Song ….
